Darul Ulum Islamic Boarding School (Unipdu) Jombang held its 20th graduation at the “Gelora Unipdu” Sports Center, Sunday (11/28/2021). A total of 516 Diploma, Undergraduate and Postgraduate Program Graduates participated in the graduation procession which was held offline with strict health protocols. Even graduates are required to show the results of the antigen swab and vaccine status with the application of protective care before the graduation procession.
The graduation ceremony which took place solemnly and magnificently was attended by the Minister of State Secretary, Prof. Drs. Pratikno, M.Soc.Sc., Governor of East Java, Mrs. Hj. Khofifah Indar Parawansa, the Darul Ulum Islamic Boarding School Council, the Forpimda ranks, and the big family of the Darul Ulum Islamic Boarding School Foundation (Yapetidu).
Minister of State Secretary, Prof. Drs. Pratikno, M.Soc.Sc. Virtually present in his speech conveyed his confidence and optimism that Unipdu Jombang graduates had the opportunity and were able to compete in this industrial revolution era. According to him, Unipdu Jombang graduates have extraordinary talents and are born with a native knowledge of technology.
“I advise you to keep learning, keep innovating and be creative, be persistent and interact with the global world, take advantage of your abilities as a digital native, be an innovator who continues to innovate and open up new jobs and provide progress to the nation and religion,” said Professor at Gajah Mada University, Yogyakarta. .
On this occasion the Governor of East Java, Mrs. Dra. HJ. Khofifah Indar Parawansa congratulated the graduates and invited Unipdu Jombang to continue to strive in science so that the knowledge of Unipdu students could be stronger.
Mrs. Khofifah also quoted Bung Karno’s statement as saying that life is currently at the investment stage. which includes investment of human skills, material investment and mental investment.
“That is, the development and investment of human resources (investment of human skills) is a strategic need for students who want to continue to achieve wider success and in-depth knowledge,” said Khofifah with a passionate speech.
KH Zaimudin Wijaya As’ad As the Head of the Unipdu foundation in his speech, he advised graduates to remain Tawadhu. “With tawadhu that will enrich our knowledge, enhance our degree and enhance our knowledge,” said the man who is familiarly called Gus Zuem.
“This life is essentially answering questions, if we are asked in the fetus, especially when we graduate, we will often get questions,” said Gus Zuem further.
The Chancellor of Unipdu Jombang, Prof. Dr. H. Ahmad Zahro, MA in his Address said that Unipdu Jombang continues to move forward and improve better as well as other achievements.
“Alhamdulillah, graduates of Unipdu Jombang are not only provided with academic certificates, but also certificates of Alqur’an proficiency, foreign language certificates, computer certificates and other competency certificates including the MKA Certificate – Alternative Expertise Courses,” said the Professor of UIN Sunan Ampel Surabaya.
“And in the near future, please pray for Unipdu Jombang to immediately have a Medical Study Program, God willing, everything is ready,” said Prof Zahro.
Meanwhile, the Vice Chancellor of Unipdu Jombang, Dr. dr. KH M. Zufikar As’ad said, in addition to holding graduation, this activity was also carried out by taking professions for health science graduates.
According to Gus Ufik, the graduation processions have implemented strict procedures, by keeping their distance, wearing masks and face shields and screening and swab tests for antigen have been carried out.
“Alhamdulillah, the implementation went safely, because 2 vaccines are mandatory for students who are about to graduate. I hope that students who have graduated will be of benefit to the community and can continue their education to a higher level or go straight to work,” he said when interviewed by the media crew.
